About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications and working alongside a passionate marketing team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how Jewish Care Victoria is seen, heard and experienced.

This is more than a content creation role. As our Strategic Content & Brand Advisor, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering a strategic brand and storytelling program that showcases the impact of our services, celebrates our people and strengthens engagement with clients, families, donors, volunteers, employees and the broader community.

Working across the organisation, you'll uncover authentic stories that inspire action, support fundraising campaigns, elevate advocacy initiatives, strengthen employer branding and recruitment, enhance donor engagement and protect and build Jewish Care's trusted reputation.

You'll partner closely with operational leaders and subject matter experts to ensure our communications are creative, consistent, audience-focused and aligned to our organisational strategy and values.

About You

You're an exceptional storyteller who understands that great content is about more than words and images—it's about building trust, inspiring action and creating meaningful connections.

You'll ideally have:

  • Qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic content and brand storytelling across multiple communication channels.
  • Outstanding written communication, interviewing and editorial skills.
  • Experience developing campaigns that support fundraising, advocacy, recruitment, donor engagement or community awareness.
  • Strong understanding of brand management, audience engagement and digital communications.
  • Experience creating content across websites, social media, email marketing, publications and print collateral.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders, staff, volunteers, donors and community stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Photography, videography and multimedia content creation skills would be highly regarded.
  • Experience working with or alongside a community-based organisation, not-for-profit or community group (desirable).

This role would suit someone who enjoys finding the stories that matter and translating them into content that strengthens brand reputation, deepens community connection and demonstrates the impact of Jewish Care Victoria.
