The Opportunity

As a Nursing Manager and Responsible Person, you will lead the strategic, operational and clinical delivery of In-Home Nursing Services. You will support a high-performing and values-aligned workforce and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. This role is accountable for ensuring Benetas meets its obligations under the Aged Care Act 2024, including clinical governance, service quality, workforce capability, and regulatory compliance.

The Nursing Manager will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies that promote growth, enhance profitability, and improve overall business performance. They will monitor key performance indicators and play a critical role in ensuring the departments success and long-term sustainability.

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership in clinical governance, ensuring services meet the highest safety, quality, and professional standards.
  • Ensure the In-Home Nursing Services operations comply with budgets, operational targets and annual objectives in consultation with the Business Manager.
  • Develop a sustainable business model, and manage the P&L into profitability
  • Develop the Nursing business with the opportunities that may present with SAH by managing the relationship with internal stakeholders and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Identify potential business opportunities and develop a business development strategy for external customers which results in increased revenue and future profitability.
  • Oversee systems for clinical escalation, restrictive practice authorisation, risk identification, and incident management.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures and support continuous improvement of clinical practice across teams.
  • Oversee the safe and effective delivery of clinical interventions, including medication administration, wound management, infection prevention and control, and the implementation of complex care plans.
  • Maintain oversight of clinical risk management processes, ensuring risks are proactively identified and escalated in a timely manner in accordance with Benetas policies and protocols.
  • Lead implementation and monitoring of the Benetas Quality Care and Clinical Practice Framework.
  • Lead the IHNS business to ensure we meet suitability, fitness and reporting under the Aged Care Act.

 

About You

  • Current AHPRA Registration (Div 1) as a Registered Nurse (required)
  • Moderate to extensive experience in Community Nursing (required)
  • Several years of leadership experience (required)
  • Current Police Check
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to your role, including Accreditation, Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of government funding such as DVA, HITH, PAC TCP and TAC referrals.
  • Experience in maintaining and contributing to a Quality management Framework (desirable)
  • Ability to liaise across the full spectrum of health and welfare services
