Our Team
Our Lifestyle Assistants play a vital role in helping older Victorians live their best lives by delivering creative and engaging lifestyle programs in our residential aged care homes. Each day is unique and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to our residents’ wellbeing. Working closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll provide empathy, support and companionship through social and recreational activities that foster connection, choice and joy. The Role
We are looking for a Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at St Paul’s Terrace, Frankston South. This is a permanent, part-time role (52 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday).
What you’ll do:
- Assist with the delivery of recreational and social programs that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
- Support the Lifestyle Coordinator with program planning and orientation of new team members.
- Work individually with residents in line with their lifestyle plans and document progress accurately.
- Ensure programs meet residents’ needs and accreditation standards.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and encourage community involvement.
- Demonstrate understanding of cognitive, social and spiritual needs of residents and their families.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A qualification in Community Development, Recreation or Disability Studies (Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle preferred; Certificate III in Individual Support desirable).
- Understanding of Leisure and Lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Empathy and strong interpersonal skills to build connections with residents and families.
- Honest, dependable and a positive contributor to the team.
