The Role
We are looking for an experienced full time Registered Nurse (RN) for our Dalkeith Gardens home, in Traralgon Victoria home to 112 residents.
- Providing excellent, resident-focused care in relation to specialised nursing needs, such as management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications
- Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents
- Overseeing the administration of day-to-day tasks as relates to the provision of clinical care to achieve best resident outcomes and undertaking clinical monitoring of residents and escalating changes as required
- Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy
- Provide guidance and support to the care team, including Personal Care workers and Enrolled Nurses
About you
- Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) and respiration with AHPRA as a Division 1. Previous aged care experience highly regarded.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or the ability to obtain
- Good judgement and decision-making skills; able to respond quickly to issues and effectively resolve
- The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
- An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
- A high level of accountability for your own work
- A friendly and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
