Our Home

The Views is a Benetas residential aged care home in Heidelberg, providing high-quality care in a modern and supportive environment. Home to 103 residents, The Views is a large and well-established site where lifestyle and wellbeing play a central role in the resident experience.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Lifestyle Lead / Coordinator to join our team at The Views, Heidelberg.

This is a key role within the home, responsible for leading and coordinating an engaging, inclusive and person-centred lifestyle program for 103 residents. You will bring strong leadership, initiative and organisational capability, with the confidence to manage a busy program across a larger residential setting.

Working closely with residents, families, volunteers and the wider care team, you will ensure the lifestyle program reflects individual preferences, supports meaningful engagement and promotes dignity, choice and wellbeing. The role also includes direct leadership of 1 Lifestyle Assistant.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering a diverse, inclusive lifestyle program that reflects the cognitive, emotional, cultural, spiritual and social needs of residents
• Ensuring residents are at the centre of planning and decision-making, with programs tailored to individual preferences and goals
• Leading, supporting and coordinating 1 Lifestyle Assistant, while also providing direction to volunteers and care staff involved in activities
• Managing lifestyle calendars, resources, external providers, community partnerships and relevant budgets
• Maintaining accurate documentation, participation records and evaluation processes to support continuous improvement
• Contributing to a positive culture within the home and promoting positive attitudes towards ageing, wellbeing and resident choice

About you

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure, or formal qualifications in Community Development, Recreation or Disability
• Significant experience in a similar lifestyle leadership or coordination role within residential aged care
• Demonstrated ability to lead programs in a larger residential setting and coordinate competing priorities effectively
• Experience supervising or supporting team members, with confidence providing day-to-day direction to a Lifestyle Assistant
• Strong administrative, planning and stakeholder management capability
• A genuine ability to build rapport with residents, families and colleagues, and to create meaningful, person-centred engagement opportunities
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
