The Role

We are looking for experienced Maintenance Officer for 2 days per week at our St Johns Rise Retirement Living Village in Mooroolbark. In this role you'll ensure the village remains safe and clean, providing a responsive customer service to the residents and support a positive village community. 

  • Undertake routine maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and village infrastructure
  • Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests and troubleshoot minor repairs in a timely manner
  • Maintain gardens, outdoor areas and communal spaces to a high standard
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records and schedules
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers and assist with coordinating specialised maintenance works when required

About you

  • Previous experience in property, facilities, building or grounds maintenance
  • Practical trade or maintenance skills with the ability to safely undertake general repairs
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, contractors and village staff
  • Drivers licence and a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain
