Position Available: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Helidon

About the Role:

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Helidon, where your expertise will keep our vehicles on the road! As a vital member of our workshop crew you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Fleet to repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with precision.

Your roster will be working Monday to Friday, day shifts. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on trailers to ensure roadworthiness
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with precision
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and maximize fleet efficiency
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address and resolve complex problems
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs conducted on each trailer
• Develop and/or update preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of equipment and reduce breakdowns
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and parts used ensuring compliance with company Policies & Procedures
• Adhere to all Safety protocols and Regulations always ensuring a safe working environment

Skills and Experience:

• Detailed experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on Prime Movers and Trailers
• Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification
• Unlimited Australian work rights (no restrictions)
• Passionate about all things mechanical with an ability to think critically and creatively to help in diagnosing complex mechanical problems efficiently
• A meticulous approach ensuring every aspect of the machinery is thoroughly assessed
• Good physical fitness for heavy lifting and working in various positions - essential
