Position Available: Injury Management Advisor

Location: Perth Airport, WA

 

About the Role:

In this role, you will support Centurion’s injury management, early intervention, wellness and return-to-work processes. You’ll work closely with employees, leaders, medical service providers and insurers to promote safe work practices, minimise risk and guide injured workers through a proactive return-to-work journey.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication, case management capability and the ability to provide clear, practical advice in a fast-paced operational environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate workplace injury management activities and support injured employees returning to work.
  • Assess and interpret injury, illness and health information to provide practical guidance on workers compensation, personal injury, fitness for work and risk exposure.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and delivering health, wellness and injury prevention initiatives aligned to HSEQ strategic objectives.
  • Participate in regular claim reviews with third-party providers, ensuring all agreed strategies are actioned.
  • Attend medical case conferences to assist with proactive return-to-work planning.
  • Represent Centurion at workers compensation conciliation meetings, hearings and tribunals in consultation with insurer legal teams.
  • Manage and maintain injury management files through SolvInjury and ensure accurate Myosh data entry.
  • Prepare and analyse and report on injury and illness statistics, identify trends and recommend preventative actions.
  • Support accounts-related activities for injury management.
  • Contribute to initiatives that prevent workplace injury, illness, disease and high-risk incidents.
  • Support musculoskeletal injury prevention programs and complete ergonomic assessments.
  • Communicate injury status and management actions to stakeholders on a monthly basis or as changes occur.
  • Work with Payroll and insurers to validate entitlements, calculate workers compensation pay and ensure payments are processed accurately.
  • Provide training and advice to Operations on early intervention and injury management processes.
  • Build awareness of injury management responsibilities and accountabilities across the business.
  • Review pre-employment and fitness-for-duty medicals and provide advice to HR as required.
  • Support the management of the drug and alcohol testing program.

Skill and Experience:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in injury management, workers compensation or return-to-work coordination.
  • Allied Health Degree (Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, OT, Psychology) or HSE/HR qualification (Cert IV or higher).
  • Knowledge of workers compensation and return-to-work legislation and injury management best practice.
  • Strong computer literacy; experience with Solv highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and case management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence outcomes and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
