Expression Of Interest – Freight Officers / Forklift Operators

About the Role:

As a Freight Officer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of freight, with responsibilities that include loading, unloading, and securing general freight of all sizes.

Key Responsibilities/Licences:

• Operating various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
• Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
• Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide, with ratchet straps, chains and binders
• Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
• Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
• RF Scanner Experience

Skills and Experience:

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) and experience 
• Experience with general ugly/oversize freight
• Previous Yard Hand or Warehouse Experience
• Experience with load restraint using ratchet straps, or chains or binder
• Experience with RF Scanners highly desirable
• Mackay and Gladstone depot so if you don't quite have all of the above, please apply if you a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
