As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Contract Coordinator to join our team, supporting small mining contracts and playing a key role in delivering high-quality logistics solutions.

 

About the Role:


Based in our operations team, this role is responsible for coordinating freight movements, managing customer relationships, and ensuring service delivery meets contractual KPIs. You’ll act as the central point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely logistics operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with assigned customers, understanding their needs and expectations
  • Manage incoming calls and emails, responding to customer and vendor enquiries promptly
  • Coordinate and enter bookings, including consignment notes for all freight movements (general, rail, express, interstate, hotshot, import)
  • Prepare and distribute daily manifests (AM & PM) to site
  • Liaise with third-party transport providers and internal teams to coordinate freight requirements
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in line with company procedures, escalating where required
  • Prepare quotations and ensure accurate, timely invoicing in line with company processes
  • Support freight preparation and ensure deliveries meet customer timeframes
  • Monitor forward, return, and quarantine areas to identify and resolve discrepant freight
  • Work closely with yard teams to ensure all “must travel” freight is prioritised and loaded
  • Follow all contract-specific safety and quality procedures
  • Understand and contribute to achieving customer KPIs and service targets
  • Support the Contract Manager with operational requirements and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as required

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role, ideally within mining or resource sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of freight coordination and transport operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with exposure to Power BI highly regarded
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive problem solver with the ability to think on your feet
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to build lasting relationships
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
