Join our Perth workshop team as a Diesel Mechanic Leading Hand, working across a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, dollies, and heavy vehicles. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and fully operational.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and support mechanical assessments, diagnosis, and fault finding across fleet vehicles and machinery
• Service and maintain trucks, trailers, dollies, and motor vehicles in line with workshop procedures and maintenance standards
• Repair and replace key components including brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, and major engine components
• Carry out welding and fabrication tasks, including chassis and comb rail repairs on flat-top trailers
• Perform auto electrical work across 12V and 24V systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency
• Order and replace worn or damaged parts in accordance with quality standards and manufacturer specifications

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on heavy vehicles, trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment
• Proven experience in a leading hand or supervisory role within a workshop environment
• Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and auto electrical work highly regarded
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and lead others in a fast-paced workshop environment
