We are seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Kalgoorlie workshop team on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth (also open to Kalgoorlie residents). This is a hands-on workshop role maintaining a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, dollies, and heavy vehicles.

You’ll work across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems including brakes, suspension, steering, and engines, as well as welding, fabrication, and basic auto electrical tasks.

You’ll be part of a safety-focused team keeping a critical fleet operating safely, reliably, and with minimal downtime.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work on a 2:1 FIFO roster between Perth and Kalgoorlie (or residential Kalgoorlie)
  • Diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, dollies, and fleet vehicles
  • Perform servicing and breakdown repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, hydraulics, and engines
  • Carry out welding, grinding, and trailer chassis repairs
  • Source and replace parts to manufacturer and quality standards
  • Maintain vehicle safety, compliance, and roadworthiness
  • Work to reduce fleet downtime through efficient repairs and maintenance

What You’ll Bring

  • Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with truck or heavy fleet experience
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills (mechanical systems)
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy vehicles
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) desirable
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Unrestricted HR licence desirable
