About the Role

Established in 2015, the Frank Cardaci Traineeship Program reflects Centurion’s commitment to providing life-changing opportunities for people at the beginning of their professional journey, helping them build foundational skills, confidence, and long-term careers.

As a trainee, you’ll work hands-on with our freight operations team, gaining practical experience across a range of logistics and warehouse activities. This fully funded traineeship supports you to achieve a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations, helping you build a strong foundation for a career in the transport and logistics industry.

Key Program Details

• Duration: 12–24 months (paid traineeship)
• Qualification: Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations
• Career Pathway: Entry-level roles such as Freight Officers
• Mentorship: Ongoing support from supervisors and mentors

Trainee Freight Officer – Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll learn how goods move through a warehouse from arrival to delivery. You will:

• Help load and unload freight safely (boxes and goods of different sizes)
• Move, sort, and organise freight in the warehouse
• Check items when they arrive to make sure everything is correct and not damaged
• Label and prepare freight so it can be sent to the right place
• Pack and secure outgoing freight so it travels safely
• Use basic computer systems to record deliveries and updates
• Work with scanners and follow instructions to move freight to the right areas
• Let your supervisor know if anything is missing, damaged, or doesn’t look right
• Work as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly
• Follow all safety rules, including wearing safety gear (PPE)

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for people who are:

• Self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Able to undertake and complete a two-year traineeship in Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations.
• Interested in warehousing, supply chain and logistics.
• Have good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willing to work as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Eligible to work in Australia.
• Hold a current drivers’ licence (preferred).

No previous experience required – we provide the training and support!
