We’re currently expanding our team and looking for a Branch Operations Manager in Newman to join us in delivering quality service to our customers.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Branch Operations Manager to provide safe, cost efficient and reliable distribution of customer freight whilst ensuring regional assets are maintained and utilisation is maximised. The successful candidate will also ensure that the regional network performs best practice service delivery to Centurion clients, along with superior cost control practices and branch growth. This is a residential role in Newman WA, leading a diversified team completing scheduled delivery to client sites throughout the East Pilbara.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant client site requirements.
- Implement growth strategies for both local hire and return freight capacity.
- Explore cost saving measures for the operations teams
- Oversee daily operations for on-time last mile delivery to client sites in the East Pilbara
- Recruit, schedule and roster to suit branch demand
- Maintain and manage branch profit and loss
- Meet and exceed all relevant KPI's as agreed with Area Manager NW
- Commercial cost management for the branch.
- Establish and manage relationships with key customers, potential customers, suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Provide Operational Contractual Ownership of nominated contracts.
- Ensure appropriate policies, procedures and organisation structures are in place to support customer delivery expectations and ensure compliance.
- Manage direct reports by monitoring performance, identifying training needs/ gaps, managing staffing levels always ensuring adequate coverage.
- Implement and manage compliance with HSEQ Management Plan(s).
- Ensure decisions are made with strong acumen and in line with budgetary guidelines and ensuring solid results through P/L.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role ideally in the resources and transport industry
- Tertiary qualification in Management or other relevant discipline, or extensive industry experience
- Knowledge of Road Transport Compliance, WA fatigue management procedures and maintenance management
- Advanced knowledge of road networks and locations, together with substantial experience in managing a general freight operation
- Proven experience managing a large team within a complex operation
- Advanced financial and budgeting skills with proven planning and project management skills
