Forklift Drivers - Hiring Now
As a Forklift Driver/Freight Officer with Centurion Transport, you’ll join our Network team in based in one of many depots across the West Coast. You’ll operate various counterbalance forklifts, RF scanners, handling various freight e.g. general, palletised and oversize freight in a busy transport environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T & 16T)
- Handle general, ugly, palletised & oversize freight
- Secure loads in line with the Load Restraint Guide using ratchet straps, chains and binders
- Scan and track freight across all stages (received, staged, loaded and unloaded)
- Prepare outbound freight for safe and secure dispatch
- Work with RF scanners to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Work closely with drivers and yard teams to keep freight moving
What You’ll Bring
- Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience
- Proven experience handling general and oversize freight
- Strong load restraint skills (ratchet straps, chains and binders)
- Previous yard hand or similar experience
- RF scanner experience (highly regarded)
- Ability to follow direction, work in a team & prioritise safety
