About the Role:

We are seeking Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanics and Apprentice Heavy Trailer Mechanics to join our team in Perth.

Working alongside qualified Mechanics, you'll gain hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing our fleet while learning maintenance, fault finding and repair skills. You'll play an important role in keeping our fleet safe, compliant and operational while building a rewarding career in the heavy vehicle industry.

 What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers and associated equipment.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics and fault finding under the guidance of qualified tradespeople.
• Repair and replace mechanical components, including brakes, suspension, steering and running gear.
• Assist with trailer fabrication, welding and structural repairs where required.
• Use workshop tools, equipment and diagnostic systems safely and effectively.
• Complete maintenance records and job documentation accurately.
• Assist with parts identification, ordering and inventory management.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workshop.
• Work collaboratively with qualified tradespeople to develop your technical skills and trade knowledge.

What You’ll Bring

• Currently undertaking, or willing to undertake, an apprenticeship in Heavy Diesel or Heavy Trailer Mechanical.
• Genuine interest in the heavy vehicle industry and mechanical trades.
• Experience in the automotive or mechanical industry (desirable).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Full Australian working rights.
