Arroyo, Ed.D., the office fosters the development of the university’s academic programs, emphasizing high-quality teaching and learning experiences and supporting deans, faculty, and students as they pursue their scholarly goals. It also ensures the integrity, rigor and transparency of academic programs and provides leadership to critical areas tied to student success, and serves as the university’s liaison to the State Council for Higher Education in Virginia (SCHEV) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Adjunct Instructor Arabic in VCU Main Campus
The Virginia Commonwealth University College of Humanities and Sciences is recruiting adjunct faculty to teach Arabic for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters within the Department of English. Candidates are expected to teach up to 3 courses (9 credit hours), in person. If successful, the possibility of teaching sections in additional semesters exists. Your application will remain active for a year; you may resubmit your application for subsequent years. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. NOTE: This is a part-time, non-benefited faculty position. Adjunct contracts are for one semester. Position duties include: Instruct students in Arabic classes. Meet all designated course instruction guidelines, including course preparation, assessments, grading, records management and submission of the course syllabus. Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided. Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours. Submit final grades according to College/Department policy.
