The Department of Economics in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants on an ongoing basis for adjunct teaching positions. Should the need and the funding for adjunct teaching positions arise, the Department of Economics will contact applicants in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.

Duties & Responsibilities:

​Teach courses in Economics as needed. These classes could be inclusive of all areas within the discipline.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• A masters degree in economics
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Economics
• Prior teaching experience

Salary Range: $4,740 - $8,650 per 3 credits taught (depending on enrollment)
