Duties & Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities include instructing undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the VCU da Vinci Center’s Undergraduate Certificates, Master’s in Product Innovation, and Human-Centered Design courses.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with 5+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience and knowledge of design thinking principles.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience
• A master's or Ph.D. degree
• Experience with design thinking principles and training programs, innovation and entrepreneurship-based curriculum development, and mentoring and coaching students

Salary Range:A minimum of $1,437 per credit hour

FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt

Hours per Week: 28
