Duties & Responsibilities:

Position responsibilities duties include, (but are not limited to): 

• Facilitate the course objectives 
• Meet all designated course instruction guidelines
• Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
• Submit final grades according to College and department policies

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in psychology, counseling, education, behavioral health, student affairs, student development, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the emotional, motivational, and developmental needs of college students.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in psychology, education, counseling, or a related discipline
• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level

Salary Range:Minimum of $1,437 per credit hour

FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt
