The Primary Care Psychology Project Coordinator will serve as Project Coordinator for the Primary Care Psychology Training Collaborative (PCPTC) at Virginia Commonwealth University. They will assist with tasks associated with the federal grants that fund the PCPTC and be directly supervised by the grants’ Project Director, Dr. Heather Jones. Duties include managing shift report data, assisting with shift schedules, managing seminar and shift attendance, and sending reminder emails.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently execute administrative job functions for this role, including but not limited to managing shift report data, assisting with shift schedules, managing seminar attendance, and sending reminder emails.
  • Coordinate with Dr. Jones as needed
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in person, on the telephone, and electronically
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven organizational skills, dependability, and accuracy, with ability to handle multiple tasks by stated deadlines and to create and maintain organized record systems
  • Experience handling confidential information and demonstrated ability to exercise discretion
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to function well as a team member and to collaborate effectively with others

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of psychological research methods and clinical work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other members of the PCPTC
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Canva
  • Undergraduate Degree in Psychology or related field

 

Position will remain open until filled. This is a restricted position with no set end date and continued employment is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.
