Job Purpose:

The Recruitment & Business Development Specialist plays a key role in growing the reach and impact of Gonzaga’s Center for Lifelong Learning. This position focuses on connecting individuals and organizations to CLL offerings through coordinated recruitment efforts, marketing implementation, and relationship-building with corporate partners.

Working closely with the Assistant Director, this role executes marketing and social media strategies, represents CLL in the community, and helps expand partnerships that support workforce development and continuing education.

Essential Functions:

  • 15% - Recruitment and Outreach
    • Represent CLL at community events, professional gatherings, and industry convenings to recruit prospective learners.
    • Build and maintain relationships with individuals, organizations, and community partners to increase program participation.
    • Conduct targeted outreach to prospective learners and partner organizations Track recruitment activities and contribute to enrollment growth strategies.
  • 30% - Marketing Implementation
    • Execute marketing and social media strategies developed by the Assistant Director.
    • Manage day-to-day social media activity (posting, monitoring engagement, responding as appropriate).
    • Coordinate email campaigns, event promotions, and program launches using CRM tools (e.g., Slate).
    • Monitor performance metrics and provide feedback on campaign effectiveness.
  • 20% - Content and Creative Oversight
    • Oversee the creation of marketing assets including graphics, videos, and promotional materials.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors (e.g., designers, videographers, student employees).
    • Ensure all materials align with Gonzaga brand standards and CLL voice Identify opportunities for storytelling that highlight learner success and program impact.
  • 25% - Business Development
    • Identify and initiate connections with potential corporate and community partners.
    • Introduce organizations to CLL offerings, including professional development and customized training opportunities.
    • Support early-stage relationship development and coordinate handoff to leadership for deeper partnership development.
    • Maintain a pipeline of prospective partners and track engagement activity.
  • 10% - Other Duties as Assigned

Educational Requirement:

  • Vocational, Associates, or Technical Degree

Years of Related Experience Requirement:

  • 5 years
  • In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in marketing, recruitment, business development, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse audiences
  • Experience coordinating projects and managing multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing tools
  • Experience creating or overseeing marketing content (graphics, video, storytelling)
  • Background in higher education, workforce development, or professional training environments

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $57,280

Pay Range:

Minimum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 57280

Midpoint Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 71600

Maximum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 85920

Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): 27.54

Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): 34.42

Maximum Salary (Non-Exempt): 41.31
