About this Position
School of Education and Behavioral Sciences / Project Director, Title III Activity 3

Effectively teach and evaluate Special Education courses and Professional Education courses, when applicable.

Efficiently advise Teacher Education majors with an emphasis on Special Education.

Develop schedules, maintain, and submit Special Education-related reports as well as those related to Teacher Education accreditation.

As Project Director of Title III Activity 3, gather data, evaluate programmatic initiatives, and submit quarterly reports.

Enhance enrollment through recruitment and programmatic initiatives.

Promote and optimize student success and retention.

Collaborate with EPP faculty and university-wide faculty.

Demonstrate commitment to the mission and vision of the university and the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences (SOBBS).

Contribute to a positive and supportive learning and working environment.

Perform other related duties as needed to support the business of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences and serve as a resource for the university community.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)-
Prior experience within the HBCU community.

Prior experience in a K-12 environment.

- Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Teaching certification in Special Education.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Demonstrated understanding of curriculum and multiple content pathways.

Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and stakeholders in a diverse environment as demonstrated in prior work experience and/or educational preparation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D./Ed.D.

Prior experience with online instruction.

Experience with a learning management system, such as Canvas.
