$13.50 - $17.50

About this Position

This position provides critical administrative support to the School of Accounting (SOA) in the Spears School of Business (SSB), serving as a resource for SOA faculty, students, and external stakeholders. The Administrative Support Specialist must be a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a strong growth mindset. They are responsible for facilitating events and activities in the SOA and various SOA administrative functions that allow the SOA to function effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • 1 year of clerical/customer service experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Ability to accomplish tasks without supervision;
    • strong managerial, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
    • demonstrated initiative;
    • attention to details;
    • interest in learning new skills and proficiencies;
    • ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities;
    • demonstrated professional oral and written communications skills;
    • service-oriented attitude;
    • ability to collaborate, as appropriate, to achieve quality results;
    • proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
    • must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Business Management, Communications, or related degree area
  • Three to five years administrative assistance in higher education
