About this Position
The administrative support specialist will:
Performing administrative duties for the clinic and provide support to the academic department as needed, including:
- Greeting Oklahoma State University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic clients and visitors
- Schedule appointments with clients utilizing the electronic medical record system and respond to all forms of communication in the clinic including the clinic service account email, phone messages, and phone calls
- Assisting students, staff, faculty, and clinicians as needed within the clinic and the Communication Sciences and Disorders department
- Creating invoices and accepting/processing payments
- Overseeing issuance of supplies and appropriate check-out system
- Issuing temporary parking permits
- Assisting with updating clinic and departmental standard operating procedures
Additionally, this position will:
- Serve as liaison between OSU SLH Clinic and medical facilities, new patients and other entities
- Maintain cleanliness and order in all areas of the department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Please note: this position must be able to lift 25 lbs. (example: a box of paper) and assist with routine errands.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

HS diploma/GED and one year of experience
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suites

- Associate's

Associate’s degree and two to four years of clerical and/or customer service experience within a medical office setting.
