About this Position
Assists physicians and staff in the delivery of patient care as directed following established methods, procedures and standards. Under minimal supervision, utilizes a systematic approach to patient care incorporating the following assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical, Medical Assistant
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)- 2 years college or technical training.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
- Current Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant.
- Current CPR certification

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Skilled in-patient care and medical procedures, including medication administration and triage for pediatric patients Skill in delivery of patient care and procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for patient interaction.
- Proficient in computer use and quick to learn new tools and processes.
- Computer literacy required.
- Ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six (6) months of pediatric experience preferred unless internship completed in the OSU Pediatric clinic.
- Referral/Authorization experience
