About this Position

This position is an integral member of the Fiscal Operations team within Housing and Residential Life (HRL) and reports directly to the Associate Director of Fiscal Operations. The role is responsible for overseeing financial operations across all departments within HRL, including University Housing, the Family Resource Center, Conference and Meeting Services, and Marketing.
 
HRL employs over 30 full-time staff and more than 200 part-time staff, supporting operations that generate between $40–$50 million annually across multiple facilities on campus. This position plays a key role in supporting both financial and back up for human resource functions for the department.
 
Financial responsibilities involve working in partnership with the Associate Director of Fiscal Operations to ensure effective management of fiscal matters. This includes budget development, financial research, procurement card (PCard) and Okcorral processes, and the implementation and oversight of business procedures.

Back up for Human resources responsibilities include employee recruitment and retention strategies, compensation tracking and analysis, collaboration with central OSU HR and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), training coordination, CARE committee involvement, employee relations, and payroll administration.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Six years of professional experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience (1 year of education: 1 year of experience). 
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement. Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with faculty, staff and students. Strong attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of OSU Banner HR & Student Systems, and Learning Management System. Okcorral, Pcard processes, AIRS, and Travel.
