About this Position
We provide innovative support for emerging aerospace technology through research, scholarship, and service.
- This position will be responsible for managing and directing segments of major programs which require the formulation and implementation of coherent program plans, leadership of project leads and teams, and coordination with senior management, relevant parties, and customers.
- The position directs all program phases from inception through completion.
- Responsible for overseeing the cost, schedule, and coordinating technical performance of project team through collaboration with project leads.
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, statements of work, operating budgets and contracting.
- Acts as a primary customer contact for program activities and directs technical customer interactions through project leads working under the program umbrella.
- Develops new business or expands the program scope with relevant parties.
- Monitors all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules, and cost commitments.
- Identifies existing or potential program risks and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Directs the work of employees assigned to projects under the program umbrella concerning technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
- May be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
- Must have excellent customer and stakeholder communication and negotiation skills.
- Must have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
May travel for technology testing, presentation, or outreach events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's
Engineering, Business, or a related field
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) - Five years of related work experience.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Must have excellent customer and stakeholder communication and negotiation skills.
Must have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
