An infusion of funding to the CVM is enabling us to build a new teaching hospital and expand our services.

We are seeking applicants for a specialist in Zoological Medicine to join a team of two faculty, three house officers, and two dedicated, experienced, technicians. The Oklahoma State University Zoological Medicine service treats a variety of zoological companion animals (exotic pets including exotic companion mammals, birds, amphibians, and fish), native wildlife undergoing rehabilitation, and zoological species.

Qualifications for the position include a DVM or comparable veterinary degree. Candidates qualified to take the ACZM qualifying ± certification examination are encouraged to apply. Study time for the exam can be included in the contract. Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required.

This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package and 4 weeks of annual leave. Funding support for professional development is provided. The ability to do up to 4 weeks of consultation work outside our referral area is also included. Professional rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience, including consideration of previous accomplishments towards future promotions.

Required Qualifications
