About this Position
The purpose of this position is to serve as academic advisor for undergraduate programs offered by the Spears School of Business and the College of Professional Studies. This position will work closely with the college staff in Stillwater and Tulsa and with Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions in Tulsa. The advisor also serves as a liaison between the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses and promotes the excellence and advantages of OSU academic programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

One to three years of experience in higher education. One year experience in counseling or advising.
- Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Valid driver’s license
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to assess individual needs and easily establish relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of college admission processes, financial aid, and other aspects of the university environment. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Accuracy in work performed. Ability to set priorities and work under pressure, interpret information, and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Project a professional attitude in person, on the telephone and in correspondence. Maintain confidentiality in work performance. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the daily course of work. Must be able to work independently as well as in team environment. Must project positive attitude at all times. Ability to coordinate and conduct multiple tasks. Good problem solving skills.
