Hiring Range

Medical Assistant $17.00-$19.13

Licensed Practical Nurse $21.00-$23.63

About this Position

Assists physicians and staff in the delivery of patient care, as directed following established methods, procedures and standards.  Under minimum supervision, utilizes a systematic approach to patient care incorporating the following: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. 

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical

    Certification as Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nursing 

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Six (6) months of OB/GYN clinical experience required unless internship completed in the OSU clinic system.    

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Current Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure required in the state of OK by an accredited school of nursing/medical assisting.
  • Current CPR certification (please attach copy) 
  • Valid Driver’s License

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Skilled delivery of patient care and procedures; medication administration, triage experience, direct patient care. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Computer literacy required. 
  • Ability to learn new processes, tools and equipment as required. 
  • Excellent customer service skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nursing in an OB-GYN clinic

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Referral/ authorization experience preferred.  
  • Bi-lingual highly preferred
  • Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow.
  • Experience with EPIC highly preferred
