About this Position

This regular continuous position within the College of Arts and Sciences provides administrative support and business continuity to various academic and service departments experiencing. This support may be ongoing or temporary due to a vacancy or a leave of absence within their administrative support staff. While reporting to the office of Business Operations, the specialist will perform Oklahoma State University (OSU) specific administrative functions not typically possible with a temp agency hire. The individual may assist the CAS training coordinator with training of staff in the areas of new employee onboarding, payroll, fiscal/budget responsibilities, maintenance operation, student services, scholarship, and OSU Foundation. Additional responsibilities as assigned include the maintenance of the college’s procedure manual to be used by the administrative staff.
 

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Three years of clerical and customer service experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for required experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
  • Three years of clerical/customer service experience.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Coordinates flow of accounting, personnel, and payroll documents. Acts as a resource who interprets information in accordance with policies and procedures.  Handles procurement for the department/unit.  Prepares student and/or personnel files. Creates course reports and facilitates ordering textbooks.
