About this Position
Facilities Management is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control professional to support warehouse operations and ensure inventory accuracy. This role plays a critical part in maintaining reliable inventory systems, improving operational efficiency, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the department.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collect and analyze gate sales data; identify and correct discrepancies as needed. Maintain and update key inventory performance tools, including fill rate reports, questionable sales tracking, and monthly warehouse review reports. Conduct idle inventory analysis and collaborate with Facilities Management departments to determine annual inventory removals. Update and maintain inventory part profiles, shelf labels, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure accurate and compliant records. Ensure accuracy of units of measure (UOM) and issue factors. Analyze historical data to establish appropriate minimum and maximum inventory levels and coordinate necessary adjustments. Develop, document, and improve inventory control procedures. Perform inventory relocations and assign storage locations for new stock items. Support general warehouse operations and complete other related duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an unconditioned warehouse environment. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold. Regularly required to lift more than 50 pounds. Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Must follow and promote safe work practices at all times.

Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Two years of post-secondary education and two years of experience in inventory/stock management, accounting, and/or purchasing, or HS/GED and four years of the above experience
- Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Have before hire and maintain after hire, a valid driver's license. A valid driver's license must be maintained for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Ability to interpret, understand, and implement various policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to major responsibilities. Must possess impeccable customer service skills, including excellent and demonstrated oral and written communication skills that will ensure information and requests are accurate. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
Solid mathematical skills, proofreading, analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Proficient with personal computers, Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and have the ability to become proficient in the use of "AiM" Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Intrinsically motivated and proactive self-starter who can establish goals and rely on experience, judgment, and teamwork to accomplish goals. Must be able to work independently with little supervision, as well as interact with the Procurement Service team. Must be dependable and punctual as attendance is critical.
A basic understanding of Warehouse Management Concepts.
Capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment, working well under pressure, and prioritizing workloads. Must be able to work safely and promote a safe work environment.

Experienced in writing process documentation. Experience with Warehouse Management Concepts, Understanding of Lean Six Sigma Concepts, An understanding of OSU's Facilities Management Warehouse System, Experience with requisition writing
