About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Director of Student Life is in charge of evaluating leadership development, social, cultural, and civic-oriented activities for students of OSU Institute of Technology. The position is also responsible for the coordination of student club and organizations for students and the campus community. The work is performed in collaboration with the Student Life team and others from throughout the campus and in conjunction with the local community. As a residential campus community situated in a rural small community, the Director of Student Life position is a critical position for campus student orientation and retention efforts that provide needed support for students living on and off campus. An understanding of the institution and the ability to think and work innovatively to continually improve and create new programs of benefit for students and the campus is also critical to the success of this position.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience:
- Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
- Demonstrated examples of relevant work experience, student leadership and involvement in clubs, organizations, volunteerism, mentoring programs, civic involvement and other such activities that can be considered to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.
