About this Position
As an outreach component of Oklahoma State University, OSU Fire Service Training provides training and educational services that enable Oklahoma emergency responders to safely meet recognized standards of professional competence. Our purpose is to prepare Oklahoma's firefighters and other emergency responders to successfully meet the challenges they may be called to face in the performance of their duties. We invite qualified individuals to apply for the role of Program Manager in support of our EMS Programs.
The successful candidate will manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of a statewide Paramedicine Program. The program will be compliant with state and federal standards and regulations, and the manager will be responsible for oversight of curriculum development, budgets, and deliveries for the paramedicine programs.
This individual will be responsible for Paramedicine Programmatic Accreditation through the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) for the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
They will serve as a liaison between our department and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, as well as local, state, and federal emergency and public safety organizations and training sites. They will also serve as a liaison between those sites and our OSU-FST EMS program manager. Additionally, they will be responsible for the selection and supervision of paramedic program instructors and serve as a backup to the EMS programs leadership.
This person will support and teach classes as needed for the EMS Programs, and will develop, update, and maintain curriculum and training materials. They will assist with EMS programs planning, evaluation, and growth initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

At least nine years of experience in fire protection, emergency services, industrial safety, or vocational education.
Minimum of five years experience as a Licensed Oklahoma Paramedic
- Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Licensed Oklahoma Paramedic
Licensed Oklahoma Emergency Medical Services Instructor by the OSDH EMS Division.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Proven organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with instructors, students, and partner agencies. Ability to travel statewide as needed.
Required competencies include budgeting, strong organizational ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Must be able to perform effectively under deadlines and collaborate successfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and personalities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's
Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, or related fields.

Ten years of leadership experience, with experience teaching in the classroom.

Licensed Oklahoma Paramedic
Licensed Oklahoma Emergency Medical Services Instructor by the OSDH EMS Division.
- Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Minimum of five years of customer service or administrative experience required. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with instructors, students, and partner agencies. Experience in EMS education, training coordination, or curriculum development is preferred, along with familiarity with Community Paramedicine or Mobile Integrated Healthcare programs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel statewide as needed.
