About this Position
The Oklahoma State University Department of Computer Science invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science. We seek candidates with teaching interests in game development, game design, and GPU pipeline programming, supported by a strong record of teaching and curriculum development across core Computer Science domains. The position begins August 15, 2026.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s educational, research, and outreach mission. Specific expectations include:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in game development, game design, GPU pipeline programming, and core CS areas.
- Developing new courses and contributing to curriculum growth in both online and in-person formats.
- Supporting OSU’s land-grant mission through excellence in teaching and community outreach.
- Contributing to the department’s online certificate and degree programs.
- Developing an introductory online high school concurrent computer science course as part of the Cowboy Concurrent Academy.

The OSU Department of Computer Science (https://cs.okstate.edu) is strongly committed to excellence in research, teaching, and outreach. The Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, a B.S. degree in Applied Computer Programming, and two new interdisciplinary M.S. programs in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The Department also offers online courses to students at remote sites. Our recent student enrollment is approximately 420 undergraduate and 100 graduate students across all our majors with expected continued growth over the coming years.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor students and collaborate with colleagues.

- Research experience in game development, game design, or related areas.
- Record of successful college or university-level teaching and student mentorship.
