About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position is required to live on campus in a residence hall apartment (provided). The position will assist with Residential Life administrative tasks and will be responsible for developing and implementing educational, social, and developmental programming within Residence Halls.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or plan to obtain Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Moderate experience with computer usage, Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn new software systems and hardware systems as needed.
  • Experience in a college residential life setting.
  • History of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Experience in performing Customer Service duties.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • A positive and proactive attitude along with a professional appearance and demeanor consistently modeled at all times.

  • Be able to quickly grasp new University information, software, training, develop new skills, and approaches along with developing ways to push out aforementioned items to employees.
  • Must be service oriented with ability to work and respond effectively to diverse audiences of internal and external students and clients, exhibiting high productivity standards.
  • Student-oriented and a willing advocate to provide a healthy living-learning community for all residents.
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical and accounting procedures.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communications skills required. 
  • Excellent listening, customer service and problem-solving skills are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests. 
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
