Hiring Range

$43,800 - $54,900 (contingent upon available funding)

About this Position

The person in this position will be expected to consistently represent the College in a professional manner, always striving to provide an excellent guest experience. The Event Coordinator will support the Events Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing events for the College of Education, with a focus on alumni engagement and outreach. This role works on event logistics, budgeting, vendor coordination, and communication strategies to enhance relationships between the college, its alumni, students, faculty, and the community. The position will also assist with operational coordination related to events and building needs, including submitting facilities and building work orders and coordinating with facilities staff to ensure event spaces and college areas are properly prepared. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills to help execute successful programs that support the college’s mission.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Three years related work experience.

    Post-secondary education may substitute for experience.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be able to successfully interact with a diverse population. Must have knowledge of common software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.). Must work independently and have the ability to function positively in a busy environment. Must have excellent problem-solving skills. Must have the ability to research a question to which the answer is not readily available. Must be able to organize and plan events in a visually appealing and professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
  • Two years experience in a similar position.
