Hiring Range

$45,000 - $55,000/salary

The purpose of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs is to support and develop fraternity/sorority affiliated students by promoting personal responsibility, building a sense of belonging, developing leadership capacity and, and engaged citizenship at OSU and beyond.

This role provides comprehensive advisement and leadership with a primary focus on supporting National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) as well as Greek Show Productions. The position involves strategic oversight of council programming, financial management, and developing partnerships both within and outside OSU. In addition, this role is responsible for supervising a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in related field such as education, psychology, human development, counseling, leadership, social work, leisure studies, recreation management, or nonprofit management. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

  • Two years of relevant professional work experience. 

Additional post-secondary education beyond requirements may substitute for years of required experience.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Knowledgeable about and/or skills in college student development and educational best practices and principles. 

  • High degree of personal/professional integrity, respect for privacy and confidentiality, and a demonstrated sense of ethics.  

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and coordinate numerous detailed tasks as well as proven success with working on a team. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.    

  • Proven ability to work with populations of different backgrounds and life experiences.  

  • Demonstrated asset-based thinking skills when working with others. 

  • Demonstrated ability to reframe complex situations to put forward plans of action with deliverables. 

  • The proven ability to collaborate successfully with multiple departments. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field such as education, higher education, psychology, human development, counseling, leadership, social work, leisure studies, recreation management, or nonprofit management.

  • Two or more years of full-time consistent professional experience in student affairs, student development, or work supporting students in a higher education setting.
