About this Position

The Practice Administrator is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and direction of daily clinical operations in collaboration with the Department of Pediatric administration. Assists the Department Chair/ Vice Chair with business operations to ensure appropriate procedures are in place for optimal clinic work flow, revenue capture, and high levels of patient satisfaction. Assists with the implementation and interpretation of departmental and University policies and procedures that govern clinic operations. Assists the marketing department to maintain a public relations program that serves the best interest of the practice and community. Must possess the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating cross-functionally, to advance the performance of the department and health system as a whole. 

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date).
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a related role. 

 

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Valid OK Driver’s license.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Requires strong analytical and proficient managerial skills, as well as advanced multi-tasking and problem- solving skills. Excels in the supervision and leadership of subordinates in a clinical setting, possessing the ability to effectively plan, direct, and train management level individuals, drive implementation operational goals, and create a culture of performance excellence within the practice setting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers. Strong proficiency with typing and computer skills (including word processing, data entry, and spreadsheet utilization) are required. Skills related to purchasing, billing third party payors, and budget management skills are required. Strong organizational and office management and supervisory skills required. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's

  • Health Care Administration
  • Prefer experience in the management of operations and staff in a healthcare environment

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Valid OK Driver’s license. CPR/BLS certification.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Knowledge in all areas related to clinic workflow. Knowledge of fiscal and human resource management, knowledge of accounts receivable process, insurance billing/ collecting and operational budgets.
