The specialist will assist with questions regarding online degrees, admissions, curriculum, format, cost, and resources to support the online student journey via phone, email, written, verbal, and in-person methods. The position will assist the Coordinator of Academic Programs and Associate Director with planning, launching, and sustaining initiatives to grow online degree enrollment and improve retention of online students. The Academic Program Specialist will research online learner needs, national career and degree trends, utilize student development theory, and make recommendations to improve OSU's online student support. The specialist will co-develop programming and initiatives designed to increase the online student’s sense of connection to OSU and academic pursuits. The position will work with a variety of campus staff including advisors, recruitment, and admissions staff.
