This position is based within the School of Biological Sciences and contributes to teaching, research and supervision in plant biology, supporting the University’s academic excellence and research impact in the sciences.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
Essential
- A PhD in botany/plant biology, or related field with a focus on native flora
- Ability to deliver engaging undergraduate teaching across face-to-face, hybrid and online modes
- Strong research track record in plant biology, ecology and/or physiology, with peer-reviewed publications
- Experience mentoring and/or supervising Honours, Masters or PhD students
- Excellent organisational, time management, interpersonal and intercultural skills, with a collaborative approach
- Personal qualities aligned with values of trust, inclusivity, ambition, respect and discover
Desirable
- Experience contributing to external research funding applications and developing academic/industry networks in Australia
- Commitment to Work, Health and Safety practices
- Experience planning and conducting fieldwork, laboratory and/or greenhouse research
