• Salary Level B ($117,100 - $138,515) per annum (pro-rata if part-time), plus clinical loading for registered Dentists (plus 17% superannuation)

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic dental educators to join our team for Semester 2 and make an immediate impact on the education and clinical development of our Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) students. In this role the successful applicant will provide direct clinical supervision for students working in SA Dental Clinics providing dental care to eligible patients, work closely with year coordinators to contribute to assessment and administration and/or coordination of teaching activities.

Based primarily in the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building on North Terrace, this opportunity provides essential teaching, teaching administration and clinical supervision across Years 1–5 of the BDS Program, including after-hours clinic supervision and supervision of students on in the Adelaide Dental Hospital or metropolitan clinical sites.

Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, as the successful candidate you will be part of various year level teaching teams and will contribute to coordination of teaching activities including management of MyLearning courses; delivery of course content; tutor recruitment and tutor support; setting and marking assessments including written, clinical, viva and OSCE assessments and test invigilation and student support and pastoral care.

Essential Selection Criteria/Experience:

• Current Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a dental practitioner (general dentist) and the ability to meet SA Dental Credentialling which includes a valid Working with Children Check, a National Police Clearance and Healthcare Worker Immunisation Screening
• Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of high-quality student- centred learning and teaching at an undergraduate level that includes the capacity to incorporate new technologies; as well as assessment activities; and a commitment to excellence in teaching
• Demonstrated skills and experience in clinical teaching (all aspects of general dentistry), supporting diverse student learners in the clinical environment and commitment to maintaining active contemporary clinical practice and professional activity
• Demonstrated high level organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage workload within a busy environment and to meet deadlines and work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of our School community

Desirable Criteria/Experience

• Post-graduate qualifications in higher education/clinical education; Honours; Masters or PhD
