Assessing Specialist

Ready to kickstart your career? You will be responsible for supporting our National Home Claims Assessing team to deliver a Best in Class Claims experience for our internal claims team, business partners and customers. This role will suit a team member with Trade, Assessing and Leader experience where you have provided coaching, technical support, facilitation and have a strong background in Claims. You will be a team player who can work autonomously and plan their workloads with minimal direction, as well as working in a team environment supporting your peers where required to achieve team goals.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Contribute to continuous development and uplift of capabilities across Assessing and Supply Chain
  • Deliver professional and brilliant service when interacting with internal and external Assessors, Building Coordinators, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders in line with Suncorp’s excellence standards and principles
  • Provide relevant technical advice that balances customer needs with business outcomes
  • Develop plans and materials to deliver tailored workshops, coaching and training programs that drive consistency, best in class and a brilliant customer experience
  • Provide technical and operational business support where required on projects as an Assessing SME, including feedback on proposed technical changes, PDS changes and process change
  • Support Onboarding and facilitating induction training, including high support for new recruits
  • Regularly review and communicate business practices ensuring national consistency, governance and process standards are met
  • Proactive risk management and compliance with industry standards

Here's what you’ll bring:

  • Claims insurance experience and/or Claims Assessing experience
  • Experience within the Building trade (desired)
  • Strong ability to interpret policies and to determine the correct policy response
  • Capability to use different technology/systems
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills
  • Proven performer in customer service roles
  • Skilled in analysis, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Established stakeholder and relationship management
