We’re seeking two experienced Product Owners to join our Product Optimisation team within Consumer Insurance at Suncorp. These 12-month secondment opportunities have become available due to internal movement and offer the chance to step into a high-impact role at one of Australia’s leading financial services organisations.

As a Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for leading the delivery of the Product Optimisation Portfolio, driving initiatives that enable an exceptional customer experience. You’ll play a key role in shaping and enhancing insurance products that truly make a difference for our customers.

What You’ll Do

As a Product Owner, you will:

• Own and drive the product vision across your dedicated cross-functional squad
• Define and prioritise business requirements and lead the squad through delivery and implementation
• Ensure regulatory alignment and risk management are front of mind through all delivery stages
• Act as the voice of the customer, balancing customer needs with strategic and operational goals
• Build strong relationships across the business, including with Technology, Risk, Transformation, and Regulatory teams
• Monitor squad performance, removing blockers and enabling a high-performance delivery culture

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for individuals who bring a balance of delivery mindset, product thinking, and stakeholder confidence.

• 3+ years’ experience in Insurance or Financial Services
• 1+ years’ experience delivering projects or leading cross-functional teams
• Exceptional ability to prioritise backlogs, define business value, and communicate with clarity
• Proven experience working with complex systems, technology teams and regulatory programs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong commercial acumen
• Experience with artificial intelligence solutions is a bonus, but not required
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or Product Owner certifications (desirable)
