Join our Cloud Engineering Platforms team to provide technical design guidance as well as lead our cloud engineers from a technical perspective. This is a great opportunity as you will join a well-respected and supportive team who help underpin our cloud environment and platform. You’ll help shape our cloud environment by providing technical leadership and thought leadership on continually evolving technologies and trends. This role has no direct reports.
You will get the opportunity to work with the newest technologies, mentor others whilst also having access to learning and development platforms plus the opportunity to get further certified in cloud technologies.

In this role you’ll get to…
- Provide technical leadership and motivate the Cloud Platforms team to achieve great outcomes.
- Provide technical direction for the delivery of projects for a small to medium size technology team.
- Plan, design, implement and support cloud-based platforms and tools.
- Work with stakeholders to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions.
- Manage cloud environments in accordance with enterprise security architectures.
What you’ll bring to the role
You're a Technical Lead/Lead Engineer who wants to stay close to tech whilst providing technical leadership to a team. You'll challenge ideas so that we can build the best possible solution.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Proven experience within AWS & GCP Platform Services managed at scale.
- Experience and knowledge in implementing and working with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform at scale. Experience of Gitlab and DevOps practices in a regulated industry is beneficial.
- Advanced understanding of the practical use of emerging technologies.
- Expertise with modern programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go and PowerShell.
- You’ll have the ability to work with various stakeholders, have a positive mindset, and you can adapt to change and lead others with confidence.
We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of a minimum of 40% of your week in the office, increasing to 60% in July 2025.
