As our Sales Activation and Engagement Lead, you’ll play a key role in driving the performance of your state by activating sales initiatives and strengthening engagement across the retail network. A highly collaborative role, you'll partner closely with regional managers and the broader state leadership team to embedded consistent, customer-centric sales rhythm, with a focus on coaching, campaign execution, and building capability across our branches. You’ll bring a high level of empathy, integrity and influence supporting retail leaders to navigate frontline challenges while working as part of a small, high-performing team committed to achieving real impact.

In this dynamic, high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:

  • Coaching and supporting retail leaders to embed the customer conversation framework, uplift frontline sales capability, and enhance the overall sales culture.
  • Driving the execution of customer engagement and marketing campaigns across the network, ensuring alignment with both retail banking and state strategies.
  • Leveraging insights and reporting to influence performance, guide planning, and shape training and development activities that build long-term capability.
  • Building strong relationships across all levels of the network, role-modelling integrity, empathy and solutions-focussed mindset, with exceptional attention to detail and planning skills.

This is a full time, 10-month secondment position based in Queensland, concluding in early May 2026. While we’re flexible on exact location, the role requires a strong connection to the network, with at least 60% of your time spent in a branch or office environment. Travel across the state is expected, including occasional overnight stays, frequency depending on business needs and your location.

 

What you’ll bring to the role 

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring your natural leadership qualities, ability to influence others, and a strong focus on coaching and connection. We’d love you to have: 

  • Track record of guiding and inspiring others to perform at their best - with or without formal leadership responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching and communication skills that support frontline teams to grow in capability and confidence
  • The ability to engage and motivate through compelling presentations and clear messaging tailored to your audience
  • A confident approach to coaching leaders and teams with a focus on building skill and embedding sustainable change
  • In-depth knowledge of our products, systems, and reporting dashboards, and how to leverage them in a retail environment
  • A knack for turning data into insight - using reports and analytics to identify opportunities and shape meaningful action
