In Retail Banking our customers are at the forefront of everything we do, where the Community Banking team lead and champion the development and success of the Community Bank Model, which is made up of 220 Community Bank Companies with over 1500 Board Directors, covering more than 300 Community Bank Branches. Community Banking operates on a shared revenue model based on 'profit-with-purpose', which means our profits are returned directly to the community that has generated them.

The Retail Banking Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Head of Community Banking and their Senior Leadership team to support the Community Bank and broader Retail Branch Network to ensure we meet the needs of our customers. You will also be coordinating projects on behalf of Community Banking at a National level.

We are seeking someone with the maturity and judgement to listen to what people are saying but also have the ability to read between the lines to provide proactive support. You’ll also need to have an eye for detail, strong organisation skills, high level of discretion and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at any one time.

Reporting to the Head of Community Banking the Retail Banking Coordinator will:

  • Have the ability to work in the strictest levels of confidentiality and trust
  • Scheduling and Calendar management to optimise time and productivity
  • Monitor mailboxes, draft responses and respond on behalf of the Head of Community Banking
  • Prepare, draft, proofread and execute accurate business correspondence using excellent communication skills
  • Coordinate and compile timely collection and dispatch of reports
  • Organise travel and accommodation
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver virtual and face to face events to support the Community Banking Leadership team
  • Efficiently manage projects on behalf of the Head of Community Banking, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivering of divisional projects

This is an Internal Secondment for 12 months working Full time hours. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 60% of your time per week in a local Head office or Regional office.

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

  • Previous administrative experience at a senior level is desirable
  • Experience working within the Community Bank Network and an understanding of the Community Bank Model
  • Advanced understanding of all Microsoft products, plus PowerBI and relevant dashboards for reporting purposes
  • Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Calm and flexible approach to working in a busy environment
  • Demonstrate initiative and have a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Highly developed time management skills, constant attention to detail with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and multi task
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with internal divisions of the Bank, as well as key external relationships of the Bank
