Bring your people leadership and AOM expertise to a passionate team with a vision of becoming best in class and who are passionate about protecting our customers and communities from Financial Crime.

You are an enthusiastic people leader with experience within operational, contact centre or Financial Crime Risk teams.  Your success comes from being hands-on, listening to your people and having a passion to develop others.  You engage and motivate your team with a blend of social / emotional intelligence and a sense of humour.

Your toolkit includes a growth mindset, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish and build strong relationships with your team and a variety of stakeholders. You maintain composure under the pressure of a fast-paced environment and have experience with operational performance planning, using ActiveOps, or a similar workforce management system.

You bring to this role experience working in the Banking and Finance sector and an understanding of risk management.  Experience with AML and Financial Crime risks and obligations is an advantage, but not a deal breaker.

As a Team Leader AML CTF Sanctions Operations you’ll get to:

  • Be part of the AML/CTF and Sanctions Operations leadership team where you will find a strong support network, opportunities to work closely with other FCR teams and have your professional development prioritised.
  • Lead a large team and shift between projects, staff queries, complex escalations and other areas of focus throughout the day.
  • Use the Active Ops framework to prepare and communicate weekly workload and resourcing plan forecasts ensuring adequate FTE has been allocated across the team’s responsibilities.
  • Ensure staff have development plans in place and improve the performance of the team through regular feedback and coaching
  • Grow a happy and engaged team who are autonomous and empowered to fulfil their roles in the most effective and efficient way.

This is a full-time position available as a 12 month internal secondment which can be based in Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide or Sydney.  We offer flexible work options that put our people first, including a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week based out of your local Corporate Office, and with compressed working weeks to provide a 9 day fortnight a popular option in the FCR department.

We believe a diverse workforce supported by an inclusive culture is central to our success and we actively encourage applications from those who bring diversity of thought to our business. We support candidate requests for adjustment to accommodate an illness, injury, or disability to equitably participate in the selection process.

Please note, all internal candidates are required to notify their immediate leader when applying for a new career opportunity and you will be asked to acknowledge they have done so upon submission of your application.
