About the opportunity

The Senior Change & Implementation Lead role supporting the Business Bank and Agribusiness (BBAB) division requires a seasoned change professional to drive successful implementation of new initiatives and continuous improvements.

This role involves guiding leaders in implementing and embedding internal programs to boost performance and quality, ultimately improving both employee and customer experiences. You'll act as a key liaison with business stakeholders, translating complex change impacts into clear strategies and understandable information.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, adept at stakeholder engagement, and committed to delivering lasting business value through effective change management, ensuring not just project completion but true, sustained adoption.

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:

  • Lead Change Implementation: Plan and execute change projects, aligning Risk, Credit, and BBAB teams. This includes managing in-business led programs and building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Develop & Deliver Training: Design and deliver engaging training programs, collaborating with Learning & Training teams to create and update training materials (MyBenU).
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across the division. This includes actively identifying and mitigating adoption risks and resistance.
  • Narrative Development & Communication: Craft clear narratives for initiatives, translating technical details for broader business understanding and embedding the Business & Agribusiness narrative in all communications.
  • Performance Measurement & Improvement: Define key success metrics, track adoption progress, and continuously refine strategies to ensure sustained change and maximise impact.
  • Risk & Resistance Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate risks such as change fatigue and resistance, developing strategies to build change resilience.
  • Mentorship & Team Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior change and implementation professionals, fostering capability and career development within the team. This includes leading by example and encouraging experimentation and learning. Cost management is implied throughout.

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Change or Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Deep experience in a similar complex technology driven change or transformation project(s).
  • Exposure to banking, ideally business banking or similar.

We would also love you to demonstrate:

  • Strategic Change Leadership: Designing and leading impactful change strategies, anticipating and mitigating resistance.
  • Project & Change Integration: Mastering project lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile) and seamlessly integrating change for maximum impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Effectively engaging and influencing all levels of the organisation, building consensus, and navigating complex relationships.
  • Communication & Narrative Building: Crafting compelling narratives and messages across diverse groups, using various mediums (video, PowerPoint) to drive understanding and action.
